Utility Scale Solar
Large scale solar projects, ranging from several acres to thousands of acres in size, have become a major contributor to our nation's energy supply. Solar PV provides some of the lowest cost electricity in the United States and its use is rapidly expanding throughout the United States, including Kentucky. The Kentucky Public Service Commission shows 23 applications for merchant solar power plants filed since January 2020.
